Have fun with this new twist on a timeless traditional quilt pattern, but this version won't require tedious inset seams. The pieced hexagon blocks use speedy strip piecing, and the daisies are appliqued with fusible web. Layer cakes or scraps can be used for the hexagon blocks, and jellyrolls work great for the pieced blocks; however traditional yardage requirements are also included.
Supplies – 1 3/4 yds. teal border color, (14) 10” assorted scraps or a total of 1 1/4 yds. for hexagon blocks; (14) 10” assorted red scraps or a total of 1 1/4 yds. for flower hexagon blocks; 9 light and 9 medium 2 1/2” x 40” strips or a total of 3/4 yds. light and 3/4 yds. medium fabric for pieced hexagon blocks; 1 yd. white for daisies; 8” square scrap yellow for flower centers; 5/8 yd. binding; 1 3/4 yds. fusible web; 62” x 75” batting and backing; matching thread; glue stick; manilla folder weight card stock.
